I’m working on a new release for Fancy (v0.3.0) , hopefully coming soon.
It will be the first official (stable) version of Fancy running on Rubinius, including the self-hosted bytecode compiler and first-class Ruby integration.

We’ve been working on a documentation generation tool called fdoc recently (thanks to Victor Borja who worked on this). It’s still a work in progress, but you can check it out here: http://api.fancy-lang.org.

Fancy running on Rubinius VM

As of recently, there has been lots of work done on a bytecode compiler for the Rubinius VM.
Thanks to several new committers to the project, alot of work has been done to improve the language, its syntax and performance. We’re planning on getting all of Fancy’s features implemented for Rubinius soon.

Here’s a little update on the recent development of Fancy.
Since the last post, the following features have been added:
Dynamic message sends, similar to Ruby:
obj send: message_name params: [param1, param2, param3]
Simple reading and writing to files
Support for Mixins (including methods of one class into another):
